CELL is the world’s first made-for-mobile blockbuster thriller. The story is told in two distinct strands:
On the outside we are introduced to Spence; a young man who finds himself with the world at his feet. On arrival in the Columbian capital city of Bogota, Spence becomes involved in the lucrative, but dangerous world of illegal prize fighting.
On the inside Spence finds himself locked in a dirty prison cell, unaware of where he is, or who is keeping him prisoner. Who is the beautiful girl he sees on his first night? Will Spence find a way out? And is he as alone as he first thinks he is? Watch the Trailer:Screenshots and Images from the series
Character Biographies Spence (Joshua Dallas) arrives in Bogota answering a call from his old friend, David – little knowing just how much that one decision will change his life forever. Confident, likeable, charming even, but Spence is easily led. And nobody knows how to lead him better than David. Life with David (Simon Allix) is great – providing you are happy to live by his rules. He oozes an intoxicating blend of charisma and arrogance, with an air of cool and a hint of mild psychosis thrown in for good measure. David thrives on power. If he thinks he has a hold over you, he’s your best friend. If not: watch your back. Lucy (Myfanwy Waring) is David’s personal assistant – a vague title invented by David because he likes having her around. Smart, confident and professional, Lucy retains an air of glamour, born from her strength of character as much as her looks, and a vulnerability that comes from knowing she’s better than the sum of her past. Ruthless, sinister, powerful – when The General (Richard Ashley) speaks, you better listen. This is a man who is used to have people listen to him – a man used to getting his own way. And he has no time for sentiment when there’s money to be made. Wherever The General is, you're sure to find Jefe (Mark Jowett) lurking in the shadows near by. JEFE is the silent and sinister right-hand man to the most powerful tyrant in the Columbian criminal underground. He is a man of few words – somebody who only lets you know he's there when necessary.
